Linda Keane is an environmental architect, artist, and leader in designing design education. Co-creator of the internationally recognized informal eLearning network,, she writes, publishes and delivers teacher professional development workshops, keynote speeches and virtual design education classes stressing integrated place based project learning. In a recent TEDx on STEAM by Design, Keane emphasizes 21st century systems thinking with access to digital fluency and eco literacy blurring learning with play and fun. She is a member of the National Project for Public Spaces Place Making Advisory Board, National American Institute of Architects Committee on Architecture Education Alternative Learning Environments and Fulbright International. She is partner with Mark Keane in STUDIO 1032 and collaborates with diverse teams on green initiatives along the Milwaukee - Chicago Corridor building sensitive responses to culture, climate and context. UWM Press is publishing STUDIO 1032 Twenty-five Years of Engagement in 2013. The American Planning Association WI Chapter, Art Institute of Chicago, American Institute of Architects, American Architectural Foundation, Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, Graham Foundation, National Endowment of the Arts, National Environmental Education Foundation, PBS Chicago, United States Green Building Council, and the Union of International Architects recognize her innovative and collaborative design practices.
